I purchased a gift subscription for a friend over a year ago. I did not renew the subscription. I have called and formally requested that USA Today stop harassing me over renewing on 4 separate occasions during the past month. On each occasion, I have told them it was a gift for someone else, I am not renewing the subscription nor do I want a subscription for myself. I have formally called and requested they stop calling me 4 times. If I tell the rep who calls me to stop calling, they hang up and call back a few hours later. Since I last formally called USA Today and asked them to cease and desist, they have called me 18 more times (during the past 9 days) which I am now logging. They will normally harass me twice a day. This was apparently Wells Fargo Bank calling to offer something like an insurance plan to customers. Am not interested, so I didn't answer or call back.

I got a voicemail from a guy who went by the name of Paul Williams, though he spoke with a heavy foreign accent (sounding like from India) saying he works for a fraud dept. and there is a lawsuit against me for a payday loan that I never paid back, and it was urgent that I returned the call the minute I got the message. I never took out any payday loans. When I played the voicemail, it was very noisy in the background. Sounds like a scam to me.
